The service
Controvia Software provides a technical platform for creating and managing digital stores. We provide the infrastructure, hosting, support and updates according to the agreed package.
The account and responsibility
The store owner is responsible for all activity on their store: the products listed, the prices, dealings with customers, and the actions of their staff. We provide the tool; operating it, what is sold on it and managing it are entirely the responsibility of the store manager alone, not of the software company.
Lawful use
The platform is used to sell lawful products and services. In everyone's interest and for the platform's reputation, we give you full management tools that keep your store within the law that applies to you and your customers, and we are glad to support you in that whenever you need.
Payments
Package fees are as advertised. The amounts a store collects from its customers belong to the store alone; they do not pass through us and we deduct nothing from them; managing them is the store owner's responsibility.
Availability
We aim for the highest possible uptime on reliable global infrastructure. The service is provided «as is», and in cases of incidental outage or maintenance we work immediately to restore it, without bearing indirect loss beyond our control.
Limitation of liability
We do our utmost to provide a secure and stable service. Controvia bears no responsibility for losses resulting from mismanagement of the account, leaked login details, staff actions, what is sold on the store, or a dispute between the store and its customers.
Data
The store's data and its customers' data are the property of the store owner, as in the privacy policy.
Termination
Either party may end the agreement according to the package. On termination the store owner retains the right to obtain their data within a reasonable period.
Governing law and dispute resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of the Syrian Arab Republic and interpreted accordingly. Any disputes arising from them are settled amicably, otherwise before the competent authorities in Damascus.
